Okay, if you know me you know that I like jazz. I also play trumpet and am blessed to be allowed to play with the Asbury University Jazz Ensemble. Yep, even at my ripe old age. Ha, what a blast. Fall 2009, one of my fellow trumpeters asked me who I liked. Well, I could only think of two - Maynard Ferguson and Chuck Mangione. However, I discovered a site on Live365 that has a whole channel dedicated to trumpets. It's called "Trumpet Powered Radio". Take a look and listen. Great stuff. Today, I heard a fantastic piece and looked up the trumpeter and band. Here is James Morrison and "Scream Machine" from YouTube. Sit back and listen. Makes my heart happy. Yes, I believe even this gift comes from God. It's a good thing.
