Myrna's mother update

Myrna's mother has seen the oncologist this morning and has good news to report. The results of the PET scan are that there are no microscopic cancer cells anywhere in her body. She does have hormonal cancer that has metastasized to her brain, but it appears that it is not showing up anywhere else. The doctor said that he had not seen such a clear PET scan. We believe that's the hand of God at work. Because of the medicine she will be on, she will need to be checked on January 23 for bone density. The medicine is pretty powerful and could affect her bones. She has now finished her last radiation treatment. To date, no hair loss. The bruises on her face from the fall have all but gone away. She will continue to have six month check ups.We are thankful for all your prayers, concern and support over the past few weeks. We know many have prayed for her that don't know her at all. While we don't know the future (and are pleased about that), we do know Who does and have placed mom in His hands for safe keeping. We believe God has heard all of our collective prayers and has answered in a very real way. Thank you and may this same God bless you abundantly.
