"Blessings"

We heard this song on Sunday morning and, lo and behold, I log in to Facebook and a friend has posted the songwriter's version and the story behind it (See below).  Laura Story raises an important point: What if all of these bad things that happen to you are really God's blessings in either directing your life or making Heaven that much more important?  Good question.  Listen to both the story and the song.

The Adamic World

My wife and I were just thinking about this the other day.  What would have happened had Adam not sinned?  Have you ever stopped to think about this?  What would this world be like without sin?  Think of all the things that are present because of sin.  Evil, murder, lying, cheating, adultery, disobedience, all of those things PLUS death.  Without death, what would this world be like?  Population control?  Would space exploration have been the remedy?  Would we humans have populated other "worlds" and/or planets?  What would those other places have been like?  There would have been some sense of loss because families would be divided, right?  How would we have handled this?  What about the Garden of Eden?  Would the whole world have been a garden?  What would our primary task have been?  Everyone a gardener?  Hmmmm?  I guess the answer is moot because nothing like this happened.  But, one final question that might be somewhat troubling.  Did God build this world and humanity to fail knowing the outcome?  While I don't believe God ever does anything close to this, but how would the world have been set up otherwise?  Just a thought.
