The Good Lord?
Eh? The "Good Lord"? Wazzat? Okay, a little English lesson. The word "good" is an adjective that describes the noun, "Lord". It implies that there is a bad "Lord". I suppose this is a theological issue, but the implications bother me. It either says God has a bad side or that there is another God who is as bad as this particular one is good. That's where the question lies. Is it possible for there to be multiple gods? Maybe the person calling Him the "Good Lord" is just commenting on one attribute. Then again, the reverse would also be true - there is a bad Lord as well. Remember the English lesson above? You can't have a good without having a bad else where is the comparison? Just one of my beefs. I know. It's just a little pebble in my shoe that I've decided by my own silence that I'll just live with it. But, let it be known here and now, I DON'T LIKE IT! There! I said it. Now, I'm done.
